22nd Road Safety Week functions were held at chellamal collage, guindy today 7th January, 2011. As part of which the traffic cops are also organising a series of events for the awareness of motorists and the general public. And more interestingly cops caught more than 300 motorists in the act and collected fine of more than Rs 62,000 from them.
RTO officer K.V.Karthalingan headed the function. Trafic Commissioner Dr.Rajaram IAS, Actors Jayam Ravi, Vaiyapuri, Dhamu,Actress Dhanshika, FEFSI Union President V C Guhanadhan, PRO Union President Vijayamuralee attended the function.
