Jayalalithaa sworn-in Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stills


AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa(63), was today (May 16, 2011) sworn in Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for the third time along with a 33-member Ministry at the historic Centenary Auditorium of Madras University.

Governor S S Barnalaa administered the oath of office and secrecy to 33 others, including O Pannerselvam, who did a holding operation as Chief Minister when she could not remain in office due to legal problems.

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, CPI General Secretary A B Bardhan and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, RLD chief Ajit Singh, CPI National Secretary D Raja, allies — DMDK chief Vijayakanth, his party leader Panruti S Ramachandran, Sarath Kumar and his wife Raadhika — and journalist Cho Ramasamy were among the prominent personalities who attended the ceremony.
