K.P. Munusamy asks Edapadi to oust 30 members of Sasikala’s family

Former State Minister K.P. Munusamy, a vocal and ardent supporter of former chief-minister O. Panneerselvam and the OPS-led faction of the AIADMK, has asked chief-minister Edapadi Palanichamy to oust 30-odd members of jailbird Sasikala’s family from his faction of the party to enable the process of merger talks to commence.

The hopes of coming together of the faction (led by Sasikala from jail but it appears that she doesn’t hold control over this faction) comprising chief-minister Edapadi Palanichamy, his Council of Ministers and the MLAS and the faction led by OPS appear to have been shattered by various developments which took place. KPM took to task Sasikala’s family and the group led by Edapadi Palanichamy.

“Fisheries Minister Jayakumar only said they were keeping Dinakaran’s family away from their faction; why didn’t he say a single word about keeping Sasikala out? All 30-odd members of Sasikala’s family who have spread their tentacles through the party have to be kept at a distance and expelled in the same manner by using same set of words via a statement similar to the style adapted by the late Puratchithalaivi Amma.

“Let them come out in the open stating that they had ousted all those family members of Sasikala and Dinakaran for us to genuinely believe them,” Munusamy said and added that Edapadi’s faction should openly declared that inquiry would be ordered into the demise of Jayalalithaa’s mysterious demise.
