19 MLAs inform Governor of their decision not to support EPS-OPS Govt.

19 Tamil Nadu MLAs, dissidents who are backing jailbird Dinakaran (nephew of jailbird Sasikala), have submitted individual letters to Governor Vidyasagar Rao intimating their decision not to support the EPS-OPS regime.

The letters, whose contents were similar, read thus: “People have lost faith in the regime of chief-minister Edapadi K. Palaniswami; as an MLA, I have also lost faith. I, therefore, declare that I have forfeited my support by way of this letter.

“I request that appropriate action be taken on my letter intimating loss of confidence in the present regime. The chief-minister is dishonest, partial and has brought disrepute to the party by promoting corrupt activities.

“Though I’m withdrawing the support to the regime, I still continue to be an AIADMK MLA. I only withdraw my support so as to expose the misuse of power; former chief-minister O. Panneerselvam’s inclusion in the Cabinet indicates that it is only a ‘cover-up’ action,” the letters said.
