Recently Remo performed with ARR live with the music maestro. Here we bring you an excerpt from the interview as the singer told us in a brief chit chat.
Hi Remo, how have you been?
Back from ARR tour you must be feeling great?
Oh yes! Top of the world.
So tell us a bit about your experience Remo.
I was carried to the centre of the stage on a hydraulic lift, surrounded by smoke and laser lights and the next I see is Rahman waiting for me who joined me in jugalbandi with my vocal improvisations.
The full live band backed us and the experience was awesome we sang Muqabla and Humma Humma almost right at the end. So we decided to give the music a pause and 10,000 people clapped together and sang the chorus with us. We raised our voices against corruption in twice the volume.
I am planning to get back into studio and work on more music.
We heard last time Rahman and you met things did not work out, is it true?
Yes, a couple of years ago, we went up to my studio and started working on a composition, unfortunately it did not take off, thanks to my UPS that went dead .Rahman could not stay longer as he had to leave for his flight back to Chennai.
That is so unfortunate. We hope everything goes well this time, best of luck Remo.Thank you for your time.
Thanks, my pleasure.
Sadly the composition could not happen just because of the UPS failure, hopefully you have found a better alternative by now, we are waiting to hear your new compositions.
