Rosamund Pike, who came up with a brilliant performance opposite Ben Affleck in Gone Girl (2014) has joined the cast of an upcoming Radar Pictures project.
High Wire Act, as the movie has been named, is a political thriller, wherein she will share screen space with Jon Hamm. The movie will be directed by Brad Anderson.
The story of High Wire Act revolves around the character of Hamm, a former US diplomat, called back into service to save a former colleague from a group, which may have been responsible for his own family’s death. It is set in 1980’s Beirut. According to sources, Rosamund Pike will play the role of a CIA field operative working undercover at the American Embassy, tasked with keeping the diplomat alive and getting the job done.
The script of High Wire Act has been penned by Tony Gilroy. He, along with Ted Field and Mike Weber are producing the project. It is scheduled to be out in January 2016.
