Remember the Jeepers Creepers film that came out in 2001? The movie was made at a budget of $10 million and earned about $60 million. An inevitable sequel came in 2003 which too made around $ 63 million on a budget of $17 million. Despite the success of the two films, the franchise went dormant after the sequel. Yet, rumors of Jeepers Creepers 3 have long floated around for years.

Just when we thought we would never see another Jeepers Creepers film, the project is finally becoming a reality.

According to the reports pouring in, franchise creator Victor Salva is back as the writer/ director in Jeepers Creepers 3. Sgt. Davis Tubbs, a role donned by Brandon Smith in the first film, will be back with a task force to kill the creature for good. The movie will also explore the origins of The Creeper –¬†will establish how it came into existence and why it must feed on humans to survive.

Production on Jeepers Creepers 3 is scheduled to begin in early 2016 in Vancouver.
