Billy Crudup is still attached to play Ezra Miller’s father Henry Allen in Warner Bros. and DC Films’ The Flash. Reports that surfaced on Wednesday stating Crudup had dropped out of the project are inaccurate, according to insiders. Forest Gump director Robert Zemeckis is the frontrunner to direct the film.
The movie, starring Ezra Miller as the titular speedy superhero Barry Allen, would mark a return to the world of sci-fi-infused fantasy for the Back to the Future director, known for blending emotional stories with top-notch visual effects.
Fans got their first glimpse of Miller as the Flash in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. He will next be seen in Justice League, and had a brief appearance in the summer hit Suicide Squad.
