Charlie Hunnam recently opened up about backing out of the Fifty Shades of Grey project and revealed that the fans are not the only ones who regret his decision.
During a recent chat with the scribes, the 35-year-old English actor said that he is haunted by his decision of backing out of the project. He added that it is his worst professional experience – the most difficult thing that he had to deal with professionally.
While many speculated that Hunnam got intimidated by the sexual content of the movie, thus distancing himself from the project, Hunnam explains that it wasn’t the case.
He pointed out that Guillermo del Toro’s Crimson Peak and Fifty Shades of Grey came to him roughly around the same time and hence, he had to make a tough choice between the two. He eventually settled for Crimson Peak, since he had already promised del Toro.
Does Hunnam regret his decision? Well, Charlie prides himself in being a professional and a man of keeping his promises. He stressed that it means a lot to him and hence, chose to star in Crimson Peak.
