Versatile actor Nana Patekar, after displaying his rough side in movies like ‘Ab Tak Chhapan 2’ and ‘Welcome’, is now set to showcase the ‘softer’ side of his personality in one of his upcoming projects. The movie, which is titled ‘Wedding Anniversary’, will have the veteran actor essay the character of a writer. The project, which is based on a quirky tale of a writer and his muse, has been directed by Sudhanshu Jha.
According to the plot of ‘Wedding Anniversary’, a young woman, essayed by Mahie Gill, will be seen arriving in Goa to celebrate her first wedding anniversary. However, Mahie will be seen arriving in Goa alone, as her husband (Priyanshu Chatterjee in a cameo) has plans of joining her later. Nana, who plays an old crazy writer, will barge into her room one late night, resulting in giving rise to some hilarious situations between the two.
The entire movie has been shot in Goa and is likely to be released in the month of December. Director Sudhanshu Jha, who works in the Income Tax Department of Goa, has earlier directed movies like ‘Eik Dasttak’ and ‘Prem Mayee’. According to the filmmaker, his new movie cannot be termed as a love story between Nana and Mahie’s characters, as the former sees her only as his inspiration and not love.
