It seems that, director-turned-actor Kunal Kohli has a reason to smile as, the Supreme Court, has given its clearance for the release of his upcoming movie ‘Phir Se’. For those of who are unaware, the project has been embroiled in a legal hassle with, small time writer Jyoti Kapoor having accused Kunal of plagiarism charges. She has claimed about the script of the movie rightfully belonging to her with Kunal denying about the allegations.
According to Jyoti Kapoor, she had long back discussed the script of ‘Phir Se’ with Kunal. However, she was in for a huge shock as the filmmaker has gone ahead and shot the movie without giving her due credit for the script. After having proved her stand, the writer managed to get a stay on the release of the movie.
However, now the Supreme Court wants the two parties to arrive at a mutual consent and settle the matter, after an appeal was filed by the makers of the movie, for its release. ‘Phir Se’ which marks the acting debut of Kunal Kohli also features TV actress Jennifer Winget making her siler screen debut.
