In spite of the fact that both his directorial ventures ‘Welcome’ and ‘Welcome Back’ proved to be successful at the box-office, director Anees Bazmee finds himself ousted from the third installment of this super hit franchise. The reason being, producer Firoz Nadiadwala and Anees, having, had a fallout during the making of ‘Welcome Back’, over payment issues. Matters reached to such a level that, the director was thinking of taking the legal route to stall the release of the sequel at the last minute.
However, Anees refuses to acknowledge the fact that, there was any sort of animosity between him and the producer over payment matters. He further states that things got sorted out in an amicable manner as he and Firoz share a great working equation since last 11 years.
Meanwhile, whatever is the outcome for Anees as far as the third installment of ‘Welcome’ is concerned, the filmmaker is busy concentrating on his next project, sequel of Vipul Shah’s ‘Aankhen’. Sequel of Boney Kapoor’s laugh riot ‘No Entry’ is also in the pipeline for Anees, who is fast earning the tag of sequel specialist.
