Vijayalakshmis complaint: Does Seeman face arrest?

Getting into prison and out of it has become a regular chore for actor-director Seeman, who is also the chief of the ‘Naam Thamizhar’ outfit. The director, a known supporter of LTTE, finds himself in an unenviable position as the arm of the law is likely to ‘tighten’ its grip on him one more time, if reports appearing in sections of the press are any indicators to go by.

Acting on a complaint filed by actress Vijayalakshmi that Seeman had ‘cheated’ her in love, the police is said to have filed cases under six sections against Seeman. This has given rise to speculations that Seeman could be arrested at any moment. Vijayalakshmi has claimed in her complaint that Seeman promised to marry her but was backtracking for ‘some’ reasons.

The Valasaravakkam police visited the actress’ residence yesterday and conducted a 2-hour long enquiry with her and with the members of her family. Vijaya reportedly informed the police that the love affair with Seeman blossomed during the making of the film ‘Vaazhthugal’, in which she played a small role.

“We used to speak for hours together over phone and at shooting spots. I have hold proof to prove that we behaved like ‘real lovers’,” says Vijayalakshmi, who didn’t hand over the ‘proof’ to the police. “As and when the situation demands so, I’d submit the proof to the police,” the actress said. The Police reportedly filed cases under sections of rape, atrocity against women and breach of faith against Seeman.

Kollywood sources say that Seeman’s arrest is imminent unless he gets help from unexpected quarters.
