Tamanna, the actress with an hour-glass fiture, has dropped a bombshell by alleging that there are some ‘vested interests’ in the Tamil film industry which are conspiring against her in order to ‘keep her out of’ Kollywood for as long as possible. Readers are aware that Tamanna’s last outing in Tamil was opposite Dhanush in last year’s Venghai after which she packed lock, stock and barrel to go to Tollywood.
After debuting in Tamil films in a negative role in Kedi more than five years back, Tamanna had her first hit film in Kalloori. She then followed it up with hit films such as Ayan, Padikkadhavan and Kandein Kaadhalai. Super-hit films opposite Karthi such as Paiyaah and Siruthai further cemented her position as the ‘numero uno’ actress in Tamil.
After seeking solace in Tollywood, Tamanna has been flooded with offers to star in Telugu opposite leading and young heroes and has as many as three Telugu films now. She is all set to set foot in Bollywood, with the status of one of the leading heroines in South India, as Ajay Devgn’s heroine in Himmatwallah, the remake of the film of the same title which starred Sridevi and released in the early eighties.
She has also reportedly signed up the a couple of Hindi films including the Hindi remake of the Tamil super-hit film Ramanaa in which she’d be essaying Simran’s role. However, with no Tamil film on hand, one would have thought Tamanna doesn’t have the dates to star in them. However, the actress has alleged that there has been a conspiracy to keep her out of Tamil films.
“I definitely want to star in Tamil films but I strongly feel there has been a ‘strategy’ going on to keep me out of Tamil films; however, I hope to overcome it and back in Tamil films soon,” says Tamanna.
Wonder whom she is referring to!
