Sonakshi Sinha replaces Anuskha in Kamals film

If everything goes well, Kamal Haasan might well be pairing up with Sonakshi Sinha, Bollywood’s newest sensation and daughter of yesteryear’s popular hero (who turned politician later) Shatrughan Sinha. Reports say that Sonakshi, who debuted last year in Bollywood, might be replacing Anushka as Kamal’s lead in his upcoming film.

Sonakshi debuted as heroine in last year’s hugely successful ‘Dabbang’ opposite Salman Khan and is said to be getting many plum offers, having already signed up ‘Joker’ opposite Akshay Kumar. Nobody knows for sure as to what ‘prompted’ change of heroine from Anoushka to Sonakshi but she is debuting in Kollywood shortly. It may be noted that Sonakshi is younger to Kamal’s elder daughter Shruti Haasan by an year or so.

It is said that after his recent engagement to Gitanjali, director Selvaraghavan made a brief visit to Mumbai to narrate the script to Sonakshi to which she had immediately taken a liking and agreed to star opposite Kamal Haasan.

The yet untitled venture is likely to be made as a trilingual affair in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu and would be the first time the mercurial director would be working with Kamal Haasan. This would be Kamal’s first film with the younger breed of directors.
