Santhosh Sivan recently met Kaviperarasu Vairamuthu and the two were hit off instantly, engaging in animated talks of good old days. They had some nostalgic moments to share as it was during the Roja days that the virtuoso combination had worked together with AR Rahman and his mentor Mani Ratnam to present us with a magical experience never seen before. Now Vairamuthu and Sivan are coming together for Urumi and this one is going to be another larger than life experience for cinema goers altogether.
Their upcoming flick is all set for the release in a couple of days as it hits theatres near you this March 31st in 4 languages i.e.Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi and English. The English version is titled Vasco da Gama and the Tamil version being Pathinaindham Nootrandu Uraivaal (PNU). Urumi a 16th century period film has Prithviraj, Genelia, Prabhu Deva, Vidya Balan and Tabu to add to all that glitter and Santhosh had a wonderful time capturing one of his dream projects into celluloid.
Expectations are sky high for this monumental epic from the man with the ‘third eye’.
