It’s unbelievable but true: reports appearing from reliable sections in the print media discloses Hansraj Saexna, who was earlier with Sun Pictures and has now floated his own Sax Pictures, has made a never-before offer to superstar Rajinikanth to star in a film produced by him for a fee of – hold your breath – Rs.8 crore per day!
Rajinikanth, who shot for some days for his daughter Soundarya’s debut directorial venture Kochadaiyan, is awaiting the film’s release on 12-12-12 when he would turn 62. News has trickled that Saxena met Rajini recently and asked him to give him ‘call-sheet’ for a month within which he’d be completing a mega-film. The offer to star in the film is a pay-packed of Rs.240 crores.
Rajini, who has many records to his credit, might be in for another one soon. His last film, Enthiran: The Robot, became the most successful Indian film ever vis-à-vis theatrical collections. Sivaji: The Boss, which released prior to that, had earlier held that record. His upcoming film Kochadaiyan is made using the state-of-the-art technology on par with Hollywood films.
Producers are aware that whatever be the investment in a Rajini film, they are bound to reap the profits multi-fold. Saxena’s offer of Rs.240 crore to Rajini for the untitled upcoming film is by far the most offered to any Indian hero. Also told is Tollywood’s Ram Charan Teja might be starring in the film along with Rajini and the film is likely to release in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and in Hindi.
Rajini is said to have told Saxena that he needed time to think about it. Sources at Saxena’s Office are not ready to divulge any details at this stage.
