Nithya Menon the actress from Veppam and Siddharth’s 180, has not signed up for any other Kollywood releases this year. She however has loads of projects lined up in the neighboring regions. Apart from Okkadine in Telugu her Mollywood projects include Bachelor Party and another flick named Ustad Hotel.
Now the actress finds herself in a fix, as both of her Malayalam projects are having troubling making it to theater halls. While shooting for another Molly project titled Tatsamayam Oru Penkutty, she was paid a visit by producer Anto Joseph to discuss on his new movie. Trying to complete her shoots on time, Nithya asked her manager to schedule a meeting at a later time with Anto. Her behavior was not welcomed by the producer and things took a different turn all together. The actress says, “The film happened at a time when I was mentally exhausted and didn’t want to meet anyone, which was probably why the controversy happened in the first place.” As a result the Kerala Film Producers’ Association’s (KFPA) issued a ban on the release of Nithya’s upcoming films – Usthad Hotel and Bachelor Party. Infact the ban came in place before signing for the two projects, and now she has been asked to give a public apology to lift the ban. The decision of the producer’s signing up the actress in the face of her banned status is highly questionable.
We hope Nithya gets herself out of this mess, soon.
