Actor Madhavan’s latest Hindi film ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ opposite Kangna Ranaut (remember her in ‘Dhaam Dhoom’ opposite ‘Jayam’ Ravi?) has been declared a super-hit film by the Trade circles. The film, a romantic comedy, had belied the predictions of many who had warned that the first-time pairing of Maddy and Kangna might not work out at all.
Produced at an expense of Rs.17.5 crores, the film has so far netted a profit of Rs.38.50 crores worldwide. Sources say that efforts are being made by ‘certain’ quartes to remake the film in Tamil.
While Maddy automatically gets selected for the role he played in Hindi, it is said that Trisha might be roped into play the role essayed by Kangna in the original version,
Trisha, who debuted almost a decade back in Tamil films with ‘Lesa Lesa’ opposite Madhavan, had to wait for 9 long years before acting along side him in last year’s ‘Manmadhan Ambu’. If everything goes well, we might see her pairing up with her first hero again!
