Kollywood celebs congratulate T20 winners – West Indies

Darren Sammy’s West Indies has congratulatory messages flowing in from all corners. They became World Twenty 20 champions on Sunday , in a tightly contested match that slipped out of opponent Sri Lankans. The T 20 title is special for the Indies,as their last major prize came in the 50-over World Cup triumph under Clive Lloyd in 1979.

The match was held in the presence of President Mahinda Rajapakse at the Premadasa stadium,Colombo. West Indies had put up a 137-6 , electing to bat.The highlight was Dwayne Bravo and Samuels adding 59 runs for the third wicket and it was the 19th over by Sri Lankan paceman Malinga, that saw Samuels strike a boundary and two consecutive sixes. The Sri Lankan batting order couldn’t live up to the expectations, bowled out for 101 at home territory, handing over a 36-run victory for the Windies.Enjoying the match to it’s to the last ball, Kollywood celebs including actress Vijayalaxmi congratulated the winners saying, “Awesome West Indies.Respect.”We came to know that Sarath Kumar and director Venkat Prabhu were engrossed in front of their telly sets throughout.Says Venkat “Well done west Indies ! T20 world champions 2012! World cup finalist and T20 world cup finalist the lankans!! Dunno why they can’t finish it.Great going guys.” Sarath Kumar says, “Hope and believe, Congrats, West Indies you rocked, team work wins, spirited effort, great game of cricket,a very good night.” We too enjoyed the game watching the Windies do the victory dance. Here’s congratulating the winners for lifting the trophy after a long time.

cricket is a boring and outdated game. in future on the indians, sri lankan and pakis will play as this sport is dying in the western world.
