Even as ‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Haasan’s upcoming mega-film Vishwaroopam is all set to hit the screens worldwide on 12th September, sources close to him say that the actor-par-excellence is planning a ‘quickie’ before embarking on a long journey to Hollywood wherein he would be playing the lead role besides directing a film to be produced by noted producer Barry Osborne.
The film planned to be made by Kamal is likely to be a humour-filled one and would have dialogues penned by ‘Crazy’ Mohan, who had worked in several successful films with Kamal Haasan in the past. Readers might have realized by now that Kamal Haasan is in the habit of making a ‘light’ movie before staring work on some major project. As such, he now plans to make a quick comic venture before starting work on the Hollywood film.
Kamal is likely to pen the script and dialogues of the as-yet-untitled Hollywood venture, which he landed up in his kitty after Osborne was mightily impressed by the making of Kamal’s Viswaroopam and offered him a ticket to Hollywood. No other Indian actor has so far directed a film and played the lead role in it in a Hollywood production.
‘Crazy’ Mohan would be penning the story and dialogues of the ‘quickie’, it is said. Kamal is said to be planning to complete the film in a couple of months’ time so that he is available to go to U.S. to start work on his debut Hollywood film at least a month before the close of the year. Names of the heroine, other actors and technicians to work with Kamal in the film with Mohan have not yet been revealed.
