Jeevan to play Villain in Gautham Menon-Suriya Film

Actor Jeevan has been lying low for quite some time now. The actor, who has sort of excelled in many films as an anti-hero, hasn’t had a significant hit after his ‘Naan Avan Illai’ and its sequel ‘Naan Avan Illai-2’. He acted in films like ‘Thotta’ opposite Priyamani and ‘Machchakkaran’ opposite Kamna Jethmalani. However, Susi Ganesan’s ‘Thiruttu Payalae’ opposite Sonia Aggarwal remains his biggest hit till date.

Jeevan was hoping that the film ‘Krishnaleelai’, produced by Kavithalaaya, would give him the much-needed break in Kollywood. Unfortunately for him, the film has been lying in cold storage as it has been caught up in so many problems, which are likely to be resolved in the days to come. In the meantime, it is said that ace director Gautham Menon is likely to cast Jeevan in his upcoming film.

It was Gautham Menon who gave Jeevan his biggest break as an actor by casting him as a villain in the Suriya-Jyothika starrer ‘Kaakka Kaakka’ a few years back. Later, Jeevan turned hero and charted his own course. In the present scenario where his future looks so bleak, Jeevan is likely to accept Gautham Menon’s offer to play villain again in a Suriya-starrer.

Suriya might commit himself to Menon’s film after completing his ‘7am Arivu’ and then ‘Maatraan’ with K.V. Anand. For the film which would bring the trio of Gautham Menon-Suriya-Jeeven, Manoj Paramhansa (the cinematographer of ‘Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya’ and said to be Menon’s favourite) returns as the cameraman.
