Selvaraj is best remembered for his amusing performance pairing up with Goundamani for the movie Chinna Vaathiyaar. The scene which was penned by Crazy Mohan, still remains fresh in the minds of many Selvaraj fans. Being a top favorite in his hey days the comedian made his presence felt in more than 100 movies including some notable ones with MGR, Sivaji, Kamal Hassan and Rajinikanth. On hearing the sad news, industry people and close relatives offered their support to his wife Chellam and young daughter Vasanthi. Many might be aware of his elder brother Pandu, who too is a comedian by profession.
