Another beauty from Kollytown will test waters in the neighboring state of Kerala. Post her decent performance in Yuvan , she has kept away from the limelight for a long while . Actress Aishwarya Devan has now got two new releases in Kandupidi Kandupidi and another Mollywood flick in Shaji Kailas’ Simhasanam.
She says, “I was offered a lot of village roles after Yuvan happened. But none of them interested me. In Simhasanam I get to play a modern girl, which appealed to me more.” It’s not a bad bargain for the Bangalore girl, as she pairs up with Mollywood hot shot Prithviraj for her first Malayalam release. Her other project Kandupidi Kandupidi had a glitzy audio launch held this past Friday in Chennai. Ram Subbaraman, a former assistant to ‘ Mynaa’ director Prabhu Solomon has directed the movie. Director Prabhu was the chief guest, launching the audio CD, with his Mynaa cinematographer Sukumar too attending the event. Aishwarya Devan who plays female lead in Kandupidi Kandupidi, awaits her big release day, set for an April end.
