It is reported that actor Simbu’s next film might be directed by Rathina Siva, who debuted as director with the 2016 hit film Rekka.
Starring Vijay Sethupathi and an elderly-looking Lakshmi Menon together on-screen for the first time and billed as Vijay Sethupathi’s first-ever action-packed venture, Rekka turned out to be commercially successful thanks to its fast-paced script and some hummable songs.
Siva recently had a meeting with Simbu, who is playing a prominent role in ace director Mani Ratnam’s multi-starrer Chekka Sivantha Vaanam which has Arvind Swamy, Vijay Sethupathi, Aditi Rao Hydari, Jyothika and Aishwarya Rajesh in led roles. Simbu’s latest film was last year’s forgettable Anbaanavan Adangaathavan Asarathavan which had him romancing milky beauty Tamanaah and Shriya Saran.
“I’m waiting for Simbu Anna (elder brother); I had a friendly meeting with him and looking forward to work with my favourite actor,” Siva hinted while talking to newsmen recently.
