Vishal’s team intensifies campaign; Simbu to stand for V-P’s post

Vishal’s ‘Pandavar Team’ has intensified its campaign ahead of elections to elect office bearers of Nadigar Sangam, which is otherwise known as South Indian Cine Artistes’ Association (SICAA).

Like it was witnessed never before, actors and actors have been separated along the battle filed with a team led by incumbent Sangam president Sarathkumar on one side and those supporting Vishal’s team on the other side. Vishal’s team met actresses Ramya Krishnan, ‘Aachi’ Manorama, comedians Goundamani and Vivek and Vinu Chakravarathi, who has just been discharged from Hospital after a spell of illness.

Leaving no stone unturned, the team comprising Karthi, Vishal, Nassar, Ponvannan and Karunas, visited Karthi’s house and sought support of his father and veteran actor Sivakumar and his brother and actor Suriya. In the meantime, they have a popular figure to contend with who has just announced that he would be contesting on behalf of Sarathkumar’s side.

Simbu, who is never short of controversies, is likely to be fielded to contest for the post of ‘vice president’ of the Sangam by the Sarathkumar-led team.
