A set of single screen owners met Tamil Film Producers Council’s President Vishal and agreed to share VPF with producers. Posting a pic of theater owners and Vishal, trade analyst Sreedhar Pillai tweeted “[email protected] gets support of large number of single screens in TN, who met him today. They all want ‘new releases ‘ and are willing to come to an amicable settlement regarding #VPF”.
Senthil, a theater owner from Mettupalayam says “Unfortunately right from day one, the producers team are trying to create an image as if all theaters are fraud and villains. Only by projecting theaters as Villains, they have managed to create unity among the various fighting groups in their association”.
Senthil also added “My question is when entire Telugu industry has ended the strike why can’t the producers here do it. When the entire south India, rest of India, most of the world follow a business model where producers pay VPF, why are u creating an issue here”.
