The D-Day is fast approaching. Director Vijay and actor Vikram are likely to spend a sleepless night tonight on the eve of the release of the film ‘Deiva Thirumagal’ tomorrow. The film stars Vikram in the lead along with actresses Anushka and Amala Paul. The music is by Vijay’s favourite G.V. Prakash Kumar. Vijay backs the strength of his script and says that Vikram’s awesome performance would see the film through.
Produced by UTV Motion Pictures, ‘Deiva Thirumagal’ has Vikram playing the central character of a person ‘with special needs’, whose mental maturity hardly matches that of a 5-year old boy. Vijay lavishes praised on Vikram’s performance and says that the actor has carried the film singularly on his shoulders by taking the film to a ‘different level’ than he visualized it at the outset.
A little girl by name Sara has played a very significant role, informs Vijay and adds that the cooperation he got from his technicians including cinematographer Nirav Shan and music director Prakash Kumar was exceptional. “Even Shailaja, wife of actor Vikram, provided valuable inputs to us while the film’s shooting was in progress. Her hints helped me immensely in giving final touches to Vikram’s character in the film, which has come out very well.
“I’m as thankful to Shailaja as I am to each and every member of the crew who helped me in completing the film’s shooting as per initial plans. I don’t want to categorize that the film is for the ‘classes’ or for the ‘masses’; it’s for all sections of the audience. I’m absolutely confident the public would love my effort to dole out a meaningful film,” concludes Vijay.
