Producer Udhayanidhi Stalin has taken a dig on the ruling party and the makers of 3. The bone of contention is his OKOK being denied a tax exemption at the halls. Unhappy with the turn of events, he vented his anger, calling a press conference to address the issue.
“While tax exemption was given to a film which had lyrics in English and Tamil in one of its songs and which had a scene of a marriage being conducted in a pub, why not tax exemption be given to OKOK?” , questioned the OKOK hero. While ‘3’ has been wavering at the box office, Udhayanidhi’s OKOK has received a great response, having Hansika Motwani play the female lead, Santhanam delivering his one liners and Director Rajesh scripting yet another success story. Udhayanidhi further pushed his point forward saying, “People cutting across age groups and other barriers have been coming to cinema halls in large numbers and thoroughly enjoying OKOK. With such being the case, it is unfair that tax exemption was denied to the film.” Meanwhile OKOK is gearing up for it’s USA and North Indian release this Friday. Do Dhanush and Co. have an opininon on this?
