Ajith Kumar appeared to be the first known casualty of the on-going strike indulged in by Tamil Nadu Theatre Owners’ Association as well as the Tamil Film Producers’ Council (TFPC) which has suspended the shooting schedules of all films under production (inside the country and abroad) besides pulling down shutters on cinema halls, multiplexes and theatres across the State (except in Chennai).
Nayantara was cast as Ajith Kumar’s heroine in his upcoming film titled Viswasom, which would be his fourth film in Siva’s direction after successful films such as Veeram, Vedalam and Vivegam.
Thanks to the Tamil film producers’ strike, actress who are busy in Tamil and Telugu films are donating time liberally to the shoot of Telugu films as shoot of Tamil films has been suspended for the time being.
Nayantara, who plays Chiranjeevi’s heroine in his upcoming film titled as Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy (based on freedom fighter Narasimha Reddy’s lie), has the likes of Jagapati Babu, Vijay Sethupathi, Sudeep, Pragya Jaiswal and Brahmaji as her co-stars in the film produced by Chiranjeevi’s son and frontline hero Ram Charan Teja. It also marks Vijay Sethupathi’s debut as an actor in a full-fledged Telugu film.
