After conquering the Tamil and Telugu film industries with her grace and beauty, hottie Tamannaah is gearing up for her ‘second debut’ in Hindi movies as heroine. Tamannaah did star in a solitary Hindi film Chand Se Roshan Chehra prior to entering the Soth Indian film industry. The film sank without a trace and Tamannaah decided to stay put in South for a few years.
With the status of a ‘star’ behind her, the picture-perfect Tamannaah is debuting as heroine opposite Ajay Devgn in Himmatwallah, a remake of the super-hit Sridevi starrer of the eighties. In order to reach out to a larger spectrum of audiences, Tamannaah is said to have performed the now-famous ‘gangnam’ style of dance movements in one of the songs in the film.
Himmatwallah is directed by Sajid Khan, a hugely popular television personality and the brother of popular Bollywood choreographer Farah Khan. Talking about the ‘gangnam’ style movements, Tamannaah says “Actually, the dance choreographer had no idea in the beginning to adapt the ‘gangnam’ style of dance movements in the song. All of a sudden he told me to watch the dance numer on the telly so as to get prepared to perform it in the song.
“I tried out the dance movements at my home and the next day, we included in the song which I believe has come out really well,” says Tam and adds that besides Himmatwallah, she hasn’t yet signed up any other film in Hindi. “I’d be pairing up opposite Ajith Kumar in a new film to be directed by Siruthai Siva and have also signed up a few Telugu movies,” she informs.
