Surya’s Singam ruling box office

Surya's Singam tops in Box office
Surya has reasons to cheer as his much aniticipated flick Singam released on May 28 worldwide has made grand opening in Mumbai too.

Taut screenplay and climactic surprises are the crowd-pulling factor of the film which creates collection record worldwide.

Singam has opened in 512 screens worldwide including 352 in Tamil Nadu.

In Mumbai territory consisting of Mumbai and Pune, the film has opened in 38 screens, the highest ever in recent times for a Tamil film.

Says a leading Multiplex operator: “After Superstar Rajinikanth’s Sivaji which opened even in single theatres and multiplexes in 2007, Suriya’s Singam has opened in 38 screens in Mumbai and Pune with 72 shows per day.

With Hrithik Roshan’s Kites tanking at the box office, several multiplexes were able to offer more shows for the Surya film”.

The film has opened to near full houses in almost all the multiplexes and the first show at 9 a.m. at PVR Goregaon itself attracted over 60 percent occupancy, which is higher than the kind of response one can expect for a major Hindi film.

The film also marks the 10th project of the director and 25th film for Suriya.

Ya..really Singam does really well at the box-office. I am posting this comment after seeing the response from bengaluru i.e.(bangalore).The special part of this movie is nice story added with required masala(commercial elements)without crossing the limits makes it an interesting film for all classes.
