It’s a big day for Surya and his fans. It was on the very same day September 6, 1997 , 15 years back , that Surya made his debut into movies. The film titled Nerruku Ner was produced by Mani Ratnam and had Vijay too. Since then the actor has made a conscious effort to break away from mainstream roles, making his way through with determination and sincerity.
He enjoys a huge fan base in Tamil and Telugu industries. Though Surya hasn’t dubbed his own voice till date for a Telugu movie his brother Karthi is comfortable with the language and even gives interviews alongside dubbing his own voice in Telugu. Joining his young bro, Surya too will dub for the first time for the Telugu version of Maattrraan. News is fresh that the Tollywood version earlier titled Duplicate has aptly been rechristened as ‘Brothers’, being a Siamese twins subject. Being tagged a reserved personality Surya’s belief in himself and the perfection in his work has won him fans not only in the State but overseas too. His upcoming release Maattrraan (Tamil)/ Brothers (Telugu) has been set for a worldwide release on October 12. The audio launch for the Telugu version will be held this month itself in Hyderabad.
