Actress Sri Priyanka, last seen in Vikram-Tamannaah starrer Sketch, is essaying the role of the protagonist as a female cop in her upcoming film titled as Miga Miga Avasaram, which marks the directorial debut of producer Suresh Kamatchi.
The ‘Tamil’ actress, who speaks fluent Tamil in all her films, had also starred in Agadam, Kangaroo and Vandha Mala. After playing a typical girl-next-door kind of roles in these films, she takes up the protagonist’s role with aplomb in Miga Miga Avasaram which speaks out the occupational hazards faced by woman cops posted on duty at insecure and odd/remote locations.
“The film’s script would be as novel and lovable as its title. Areesh Kumar plays the heroine but it’s a rare film where the hero and the heroine won’t appear together even in a single frame.
“We are fortunate that Jagannath, who directed Kodambakkam, Raman Thediya Seethai and the recently-released En Aaloda Seruppa Kaanom, has agreed to pen the film’s story and dialogues. We also feel positive that director-producer Vetrimaaran is jointly releasing the film with V. Sathyamoorthy,” says Suresh Kamatchi.
Besides Sri Priyanka and Areesh Kumar, other essaying significant roles in the film include Linga, Arvind, E. Ramadoss, Saravana Sakthi, Vetrikumaran, Gunaa, V.K. Sounder and Master Chamundi.
