Sri Lankan Tamil debuts as second hero in RKs film

Even as speculations about what could have been the role essayed by industrialist-turned-actor RK in director Bala’s upcoming venture ‘Avan Ivan’, RK is presently starring in a couple of films in lead roles. One is the P. Vasu-directed ‘Pulivesham’ while the other is ‘Kadamai Kanniyam Kattuppadu’, a film with the same title which starred Sathyaraj in 1987.

In ‘KKK’, Norway-based Varun, an expatriate Sri Lankan Tamil who migrated to the European nation many years back, would be playing the second hero. Varun, born, brought up and educated in Norway, is pursuing his degree in medicine. Varun obviously got the offer as the film’s producer Anandan happens to be a distant relative.

Varun plays a cop and is part of the ‘encounter team’ set up by the police to deal with the goons. “I had absolutely no idea about films and never thought I’d be here. I have taken a couple of months off from my studies and would surely be going back to complete my degree as becoming a doctor had been my childhood dream.

“I owe a lot to RK who has been very helpful during the shooting and gave many very useful tips. He taught me how to change my body language resembling a cop,” says Varun about the film, which is directed by veteran Shaji Kailash.
