Pretty-looking Sri Divya is on a roll in Tamil films ever since debuting as heroine in Kollywood in the super-duper hit film Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam opposite Sivakarthikeyan. Divya who has become the darling of the youths, is one of the busiest heroine in Tamil with as many as 5-6 films on hand that are in various stages of production.
The actress has also learnt the knack of replacing established heroines in films. While she first replaced Priya Anand as the heroine opposite G.V. Prakash Kumar in Pencil, she has now stepped into the shoes of another talented and established actress.
Sundar C, who is planning to make a sequel to his super-hit Kalakalappu which released late last year, is said to have cast Sri Divya in the role essayed by Anjali in the first part. Except Anjali, other major artistes would be essaying their respective roles in the sequel.
Anjali, whose controversies in the past few months have outnumbered the number of her films, was paired opposite Vemal in the first part while ‘Mirchi’ Siva was paired opposite Oviya.
Sundar, ironically, is said to be arguing Anjali’s case at various bodies but has replaced her with Sri Divya as he felt that it may be difficult to get Anjali’s call-sheet dates at this juncture. Anjali’s loss has turned out to be Sri Divya’s gain!
