Sonakshi wants to establish comfort zone with Kamal Haasan

The lovely Bollywood diva Sonakshi Sinha (daughter of popular actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha) would soon be making her Kollywood debut opposite none other than ‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Haasan himself. The pretty lass, who had an impressive debut as heroine in Bollywood last year opposite superstar Salman Khan in ‘Dabbang’, is quite happy about getting the offer to work with Kamal Haasan.

The 20-plus Sonakshi doesn’t think much about working opposite the 50-plus actor and says that she would be considering herself ‘equal’ but would be respectful to the legendary actor. To be directed by Selvaraghavan, the film is expected to go to floors from the first week of April.

“When I can act with Salman Khan (in Dabbang) and opposite Akshay Kumar (in Joker, which is under production), why can’t I do the same opposite Kamal Sir? In fact, both Salman and Akshay are elder to me by many years. If age is not a matter in marriages worldwide, why should it be considered a problem when it comes to films?

“I heard the script and was simply bowled over by it and signed it,” says Sonakshi who plans to watch the Kamal-starrer ‘Hey Ram’ soon. The film has Kamal romancing Vadundhara Das, who is at least 25 years younger to him.”

Is Sonakshi trying to get some tips from Das?

“No, not at all,” laughs Sonakshi and continues, “I hope to establish a ‘comfort zone’ with Kamal Ji personally before I start shooting for the film. Acting along side him in itself is a tough assignment and playing his wife would require more courage and determination to portray the role convincingly!”
