The multi-faceted personality Shruthi Haasan’s debutant Bollywood movie ‘Luck’ might have failed to bring any Luck to her. However Shruti managed to bag three exciting projects that keep her busy these days.
While the actress is busy shooting for Murugadoss’ 7-aam Arivu (Seventh Sense), she is simultaneously shooting for a Telugu film with Siddarth as the lead and a Hindi flick ‘Dil To Bacha Hai Ji.’
The young talented actress Shruti talks about her films including the failure of her debut Bollywood flick ‘Luck’. Shruti is very excited about her three projects and the characters she plays in the three films are so different from each other.
7-aam Arivu – the most exciting:
Among the three projects which I am involved in, 7-aam Arivu is the most exciting because of the team involved in its making.I couldn’t have asked for a bigger team to make my debut in Kollywood — the team which gave us Ghajini — director A. R. Murugadoss, hero Suriya and music director Harris Jayaraj. Adding glitz to this line-up is Ravi K Chandran who will crank the camera.
About her Telugu and Hindi projects:
I take on a project only if I believe in the character I am playing; I have to relate to it. The Telugu film is a fantasy story and the hero Siddarth is an amazing person to work with.
The Hindi film Dil To Bacha Hai Ji, directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, has Ajay Devgan and Emraan Hashmi in the lead roles.
About the failure of her debut flick ‘Luck’:
As a first-time actor, you take up a project with a lot of confidence; as the film progresses you are not sure how it has shaped up and trust the makers to put things in order. I feel there was a lack of direction initially. But, all this has been a learning curve and I am definitely wiser now.
