Samuthirakani’s Sattai has a noble message

Director Samuthirakani’s Poraali opened to a good response a couple of months back. He is back to business, this time donning the lead role as an actor in a new flick titled Saattai.Samuthirakani plays the role of a government school teacher in this upcoming offering.

His Saattai will be on the lines of 2012’s first blockbuster hit Nanban that took a lavish dig at the education system in the country. It takes a different view showcasing the lives of students in the present scenario. The movie has actors Samuthirakani and Magima playing lead pair with actor Yuvan in a pivotal role. Yuvan appears in the film as a student. Saattai Director M Anbazhagan says, “At a time when we see government schools facing closure, Saattai talks about the importance of the noble profession of teaching. There’s a noble message in it.”  Composer D Imman is scoring the tunes for this release. Jointly produced by Prabhu Solomon’s Shalom Studios and John Max the film also has Mahima, Swasika and Thambi Ramaiah as part of the ensemble cast.

It will be interesting to see Saattai deliver something different.
