Popular Bollywood actor Salman Khan has been declared as a convict in the Black Buck Poaching case by Jodhpur Court. CNN IBN, a popular news network tweeted “Sections 9/51 of Wildlife Protection Act – Section 9 is a prohibition of hunting, Section 51 gives penalties. It attracts between 3 to 7 years in jail. If it is an animal protected under schedule 1, it’s minimum 3 years, Blackbucks come under section 1”.
According to the news network, Salman Khan is expected to be in prison for minimum three years. But the actor can appeal to the High Court and Supreme Court if he feels that the verdict announced is not right. As the Judgement has been given, Salman will be sent to jail and further proceedings can be done only after he enters the prison.
