The crew members of actor ‘Chiyaan’ Vikram’s upcoming film Saamy Square (sequel to the super-hit 2003 film Saamy, is keenly involved in recreating the same setting at the same place where the prequel’s shoot was held.
Starring Vikram and Trisha (who had just commenced at her career then), Saamy was a runaway hit thanks to its fast-paced script and Vikram’s action-packed performance. Director Hari is attempting a sequel to the film 15 years after the release of the prequel. He had already made it clear that the sequel’s script won’t exactly commence from where the prequel ended.
Keerthy Suresh has replaced Trisha in the film while Bobby Simha enters as the antagonist as the ‘villain’ Kota Seenivasa Rao got ‘killed’ in the prequel. John Vijay, OAK Sunder, Uma Riyaz Khan, Soori and the still-sizzling Sadha form the rest of the cast in the prequel which has music by Devi Sri Prasad and is produced by Shibu Thameens.
80% the shoot of the sequel has been completed and the crew, in an apparent attempt to shoot the sequel in the same backdrop as that of the prequel, is spending time and energy in re-creating the same setting which saw in the prequel.
