Richa Gangopadhyay bags films opposite Simbu and Dhanush

Richa Gangopadhyay is the latest ‘hot’ entrant to Tamil films, thanks to her bagging the heroine’s role opposite Simbu in his upcoming film ‘Osthi’. The film, as already reported, is the Tamil remake of the Bollywood hit film ‘Dabbang’ which starred superstar Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles and ran to packed houses.

After Tapasee Pannu and Hansika Motwani, the onslaught of heroines from North India entering Kollywood continues unabated with the arrival of the slim and svelte Richa. The slimly built Richa has already had a hit film in Telugu where she has reportedly upped the ‘glamour quotient’ and has given sleepless nights to her Telugu audience!

Even before she completed her first shooting schedule in Tamil, Richa has already bagged her second film in Tamil, that too opposite another top hero. Director Selvaraghavan has roped in Richa to play the lead role in his upcoming venture ‘Irandaam Ulagam’. Richa has now replaced singer-actress Andrea Jermiah, who was earlier signed up as Dhanush’s heroine.

Richa appears to have done her homework well prior to coming to Kollywood as she has managed to pair up opposite two of the hottest heroes in Tamil. “I want to be part of successful ventures in all languages. If my glamour helps in making the film become a hit, what’s the harm in it? After all, aren’t all the actresses trying their best to succeed?” shoots Richa.
