Rajini Fans Carry Fire Pots for his health

Superstar Rajinikanth has been suffering from ill health for some time now. Life in Chennai came to a partial standstill on April 29 when superstar Rajnikant took ill exactly half an hour after he reported for the mahurat of his most ambitious film to date K S Ravikumar’s Rana. Though the superstar was discharged with doctors prescribing complete rest, he had to be admitted to the hospital again on next Wednesday after he complained of breathlessness and fever.

His millions of fans all over India broke down with the frequent sickness of their matinee idol and held prayers for the speedy recovery of the superstar at various temples.

At the Sri Raghavendra temple in Srirangam, a group of fans pulled a silver chariot and performed special pooja, praying for the health of their superstar.

Another section of 20 fans carried mud pots with burning wooden pieces (thee chatti), a ritual common among rural masses, from Sri Muneeswaran Temple to Sri Murugan Temple near the Rajagopuram in Srirangam and offered their prayers.

The members of the fans association said that they would continue to offer special prayers across the state till Rajinikanth recovers fully.
