On behalf of his Lakshmi Jyothi Creations, Balaji is making arrangements to bring to Tamil the film, which reportedly features a ‘hot liplock’ between Mahesh and Kajal. A host of stars including Prakashraj, Nasser, Raza Murad, Sayaji Shinde and Shweta Bhardwaj play prominent roles in the film, whose original Telugu version hit the screens early this year in January. The film turned out to be a super-duper hit and collected as many as Rs.60 crores at the box-office in Andhra Pradesh and elsewhere.
S. Thaman has scored the film’s music while Naa Muthukumar has penned the lyrics for the Tamil version.
Kannan has penned the dialogues for the dubbed Tamil version.
Puri Jagannath, who directed the Telugu version of Vijay-starrer Pokkiri, has directed the film. The film has Prakashraj playing an evil-minded MLA who usurps the properties of a family which returns to India and eliminates all the family members.
Mahesh Babu, the heir of the family, grows up to become a dreaded don based in Mumbai and check-mates Prakashraj’s all moves and endeavours. The film is likely to hit the screens across the State in the second fortnight of October.
