Tollywood superstar Prabhas, who essayed the male lead in the colossal hit Baahubali which released recently, has said that he felt proud of the fact that the script of the film resembled the script of the late and legendary MGR’s 1969 super-duper hit Adimai Penn.
Directed by S.S. Rajamouli, Baahubali has been going great guns all over the world and is running to packed houses in all the States in the country as well. At a recent press-meet held in Chennai, Prabhas and Ramya Krishnan were present along with Studio Green’s Gnanavel Raja who released the Tamil version in theatres in the State.
After accepting congratulations from the scripts for the film’s super-success, Prabhas chatted casually with them. When queried by a scribe that the script of Baahubali was close to the script of MGR’s super-hit film Adimai Penn, Prabhas replied that he couldn’t answer the question as he hadn’t sent the MGR-starrer.
Ramya Krishnan said that he had seen Adimai Penn and conceded that there were some similarities in the scripts of both the films. Prabhas then intercepted her and told newsmen that “MGR is a legendary actor-politician; if our Baahubali resembled the script of his Adimai Penn even slightly, we consider it as a great honour and a thing of pride!”
