Beauty queen Parvathy Omanakuttan would soon be charming Tamil audiences as she would be debuting as heroine in Tamil films opposite Ajith Kumar in his upcoming film Billa-2. The film, directed by Chakri Toleti, also has Brazilian hottie Bruna Abdullah to up the glamour quotient. The film is being awaited with bated breath by the actor’s fans who loved his anti-hero portrayal a lot in last year’s super-hit Mankatha.
Runner-up at the ‘Miss World’ beauty pageant, Parvathy says that “I’m fortunate to be pairing up opposite a top star like Ajith in my very first film; I’m thankful to God for such an opportunity. I’m sure this film would be a turning point and would help me bag many more film offers. I’m floored by Ajith’s down-to-earth attitude and loved each and every moment of the shoot.
“I won’t say anything about the script of Billa-2; I play a pivotal role in the film which I’m sure would be lapped up by Ajith’s fans. In fact, the film would be loved by all setions of the audiences. I would like to make one thing clear to director and procuers approaching me with new film offers. They shouldn’t be under the wrong impression that beauty pageant contestants would go to any length in starring in revealing and ‘exposing’ roles.
“I know my limits and would expose only upto the level after which it would be termed as obscenity. In fact, I want to be known as an actress of substance and not as a ‘glam doll’. I want to achieve a lot in films; I’m sure God has given me enough confidence and determination to strive towards achieving my goal,” conclude Parvathy.
