Superstar Rajinikanth has asserted that none of his films – past, present and future – might be able to match his super-duper hit Baashha which released in the mid-nineties.
Rajini was at his oratorical best when he took the mike at the 90th birthday celebrations of film-maker-politician R.M. Veerappan, Rajini said “During the 125th day celebration function of Baashha, I spoke about the increasing bomb culture when Veerapan was a Minister in the State Cabinet. He soon lost his ministership; when I spoke to him the following morning, he casually remarked that anything could happen in politics.
“I’m told by many that Veerappan has been keeping very good health and rarely goes to Hospitals for treatment. Let me say something out of my own experience. I appeal to all of you to keep fit and healthy; those above 50 should indulge in physical exercises every day. Please don’t go to hospitals as I have experienced the pain and ordeal of spending days in Hospitals,” Rajini concluded.
On another note, he said that he was often asked whether his upcoming film Kabali would be better than Baashha. “I don’t think no other film can ever be made bettering Baashha script-wise and treatment-wise,” Rajini remarked.
