India’s leading Tamil TV channel Sun TV on Tuesday aired the shocking video clippings of popular spiritual and mystic guru Swamy Nityananda having a secret sexual affair with a South Indian actress. Sun News released this footage showing Swamy in a compromising position with a popular Tamil actress, whose name begins with ‘R’. Her face was masked in the video. Some reports said the actress was Ranjitha, but some reports identify the actress to be Ragasudha or Ranjita. The video shows the guru taking drugs and sleeping with the actress.

Following the release of this footage, furious mobs attacked the Swamy’s ashrams. Police has laid on enough security at Swamy’s ashram near Adi Annamalai area, located around 10 km from Tiruvannamalai town.
The 32 year old guru was born in 1978 in Tamil Nadu. He experimented with yoga, tantra, vedanta and other eastern metaphysical sciences from the age of 3. He is the founder of Dhyanapeetam, a worldwide movement for meditation and healing. The foundation has its spiritual headquarters in Bangalore. In 2007, he was elected chairman of the Hindu University of America, known as the International Vedic Hindu University, an institution in Florida, US.
