Nayantara, the ‘numero uno’ of Tamil films, has ‘pulled up’ her co-star of Velaikkaran and actor Sivakarthikeyan to ‘beware’ of his words while she was mid-way through an television interview.
Sivkarthikeyan and Nayantara have been paird up opposite each other for the first time on-screen in the upcoming film Velaikkaran (title of a super-duper Rajini hit film of the mid-eighties) which is directed by ‘Jayam’ Raja, elder brother of actor ‘Jayam’ Ravi. The film was to release in theatres during Ayudha Pooja last month but for some reasons, it missed its tryst with theatres.
Raja had earlier gone on record stating that Nayan’s character in the film was equally important as that of the hero. Taking part in a television interview, Nayan was asked by the host of the program to speak to a ‘VIP’ who would ring up mid-way during the show. As it turned out, it was Sivkarthikeyan who was the ‘VIP’. Sivakarthikeyan told Nayan in his characteristic style of ridiculing that she had acted very well (only) in Naanum Rowdydhaan, directed by her beau Vignesh Sivan.
Smiling at Sivakarthikeyan’s question, Nayan was quick to remind Siva to ‘beware’ of what he was saying as the shoot of Velaikkaran was yet to be wrapped up. Siva promptly kept quiet and switched to another topic as he didn’t want to antagonize his co-star beyond a limit!
