Sarathkumar, incumbent president of Nadigar Sangam whose leadership has been challenged by the group lead by actor Vishal, has said that the upcoming elections to the Sangam are a chance to wage a ‘battle for justice’.
It has been officially announced that the elections to elect a new set of office-bearers for Nadigar Sangam would be held on 18th October. Teams led by Sarathkumar and Vishal are putting up a tough fight to make life tough for the other group. Both the groups have also been visiting various Districts to drum up the support of drama artistes, whose support is essential for victory at the elections.
“Elections to the Sagnam are to be held on 18th October under the supervision of Justice Padmanabhan who has also finalized the schedule and venue for the elections. During my 9-year long tenure at the Sangam, the Sangam has functioned in an admirable manner and has repaid most of the loans it owed to various parties. Most of the members are aware of it though not all of them would recognize it in public.
“The other side is adapting wrong practices in its intention to win the elections at any cost. We are hard-working people who fear our respective consciences and we treat the Sangam as our soul. We feel that the upcoming elections are an opportunity for us to establish the prevalence of justice over evil,” Sarathkumar’s statement said.
